Material and maintenance

Hout is een natuurproduct. Noesten, nerven, kleine scheurtjes en naden zijn normaal en maken elke buitenkeuken uniek. De afwerking is anders dan bij een binnenkeuken en is gemaakt voor gebruik buiten. De Buitenkeuken VARETTI Avelia 332 bestaat uit tweezijdig geschaafd en gedroogd douglashout met een zwart gebeitste omlijsting. Het hout is daardoor splintervrij en werkt weinig, en de beits trekt diep in de nerf. Een keer per jaar bijwerken houdt het zwart diep, want uv-licht bleekt donkere beits sneller uit dan blanke olie. Bij dit model loopt de omlijsting rondom de koelkast. Plak de behuizing van de koelkast daarom af of schuif het apparaat eruit voordat je de kwast pakt, zo blijft de behuizing vrij van beitsspatten. Praktisch punt bij een koelkast tussen twee kasten: de warmte gaat naar de zij- en achterkant, dus laat in de kasten wat ruimte bij die tussenwand en bewaar kaarsen en chocola aan de kant die het verst van de koelkast af ligt. De tegels boven paneel 1 en 2 neem je af met water. Hete pannen zet je op die tegels, zo blijft de houten strook boven paneel 3 mooi.
